Hi there!

My name is Adam Frucci. I’ve spent the last two decades creating and bringing streaming and online content to market. I love to make stuff and help people make stuff.

Some things I’ve done:

WRITER AND DIRECTOR of the 2024 indie comedy The Disruptors, starring Grant O’Brien, Ally Beardsley, and Marc Evan Jackson, currently available on all major VOD platforms.

HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT at Dropout, where I helped launch the streaming platform and create hit shows Dimension 20 and Game Changer.

SHOWRUNNER AND CO-CREATOR of beloved series Total Forgiveness, which looked at the student debt crisis through the lens of a reality show.

FOUNDER AND EDITOR of the comedy website Splitsider, an industry-leading source of news, reviews, and commentary. New York Magazine acquired Splitsider in 2018.

FOUNDER of film distribution label Splitsider Presents, which released The Exquisite Corpse Project with Adam Conover and Raphael Bob-Waksberg and A Night at Whiplash with Michael Che, Janeane Garafalo, and Eugene Mirman.

FOUNDER of the Splitsider Podcast Network, which hosted shows including You Had to Be There with Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer and The Complete Guide to Everything.

WRITER AND EDITOR at pre-Thielpocalypse Gizmodo, where I managed to get myself both referenced in Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs and quoted between Ovid and Shakespeare in the epigraph of Margaret Atwood’s The Heart Goes Last.

BRANDED CONTENT CONSULTANT AND CREATOR for publishers such as Condé Nast, Vox, and Axios.

PERFORMER at New York’s UCB Theatre for over a decade on house teams Bastian and Airwolf.

GOING WAY BACK, I cut my teeth at The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Ken Burns’ Florentine Films, and the NBC Page Program. I also studied fiction writing with George Saunders at Syracuse University.

I’d love to hear how I might be able to help with whatever you’re making. Send me an email.
